2nd Saturday Poets is a monthly reading series, which has hosted poets and writers for over thirty years, at different venues in northern Delaware.

Currently Barbara Gray, Russell Reece, and Robert Hambling Davis manage the series, which meets on the second Saturday of each month, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Jackson Inn, 101 North DuPont Road, Wilmington, Delaware 19807 (302-652-9972). The Jackson Inn provides free and convenient parking in a lot adjacent to the building.

2nd Saturday Poets usually features one or two readers each month, followed by an open mic reading. There is a $5 cover charge, which gifts the featured readers.

If you would like to be on our 2nd Saturday Poets mailing list, please contact Barbara Gray at graybeg@comcast.net. You will receive two announcements each month, the first a week before our next reading, and the second on the morning of the reading.

If you would like to be a featured reader at 2nd Saturday Poets, contact Robert Hambling Davis at rhambling@verizon.net. 2nd Saturday Poets hosts both poets and short prose writers.

NOTE: The Jackson Inn has a tavern license, and while it serves food, it is restricted to the limitations of a tavern for serving alcohol. Therefore you MUST BE 21 or older to attend our readings.
