The Eastern Shore Writers Association, founded in 1985, exists to support those who write or enjoy writing. We join to share experiences with other writers about every facet of converting ideas, feelings, hopes, dreams, and opinions to the printed word. We are poets, novelists, writers of stories, essays, articles, and memoirs. Members write fiction and nonfiction, for the page and for stage and screen. Some are editors and small publishers.

MWA’s diverse membership ranges from professional freelancers and published authors to writers aspiring to be published and those who write as a creative outlet. Members hail from Delaware, Maryland, Washington, DC and Virginia.

The Rehoboth Beach Writers’ Guild is a non-profit 501c(3) organization dedicated to fostering the literary arts in Southern Coastal Delaware. In addition to hosting workshops taught by professional writers, the guild sponsors informal discussions on the writing/publishing process, as well as free writing events and readings. As part of its mission, guild members volunteer at local schools and hospitals to make writing more accessible, and each March RBWG hosts the “Writers At The Beach: Pure Sea Glass” writing conference, donating 100% of the net profit to the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation.

The Cape Gazette is an independent newspaper published every Tuesday and Friday. It covers the Cape Region area, which is in Southern Delaware, adjacent to the Atlantic Ocean. Newsbeats include Rehoboth Beach, Lewes, Milton, the Long Neck area and state and local governments. They also publish The Beach Paper, a free, seasonal, information weekly publication geared to the large tourist trade and The Delmarva Quarterly, an upscale magazine covering the arts on Delmarva Peninsula.
